Thanked: 4942Prayers For an SRP Member
One of our guys contacted me to let me know he had survived a suicide attempt today and ask that anyone of us who can spare some prayers, send them his way. I know this guy and he is a genuinely good person. I will have him in my prayers and ask that any of you who do say a prayer now and then, please include this person. We wish him well in his recovery. Thanks folks. Lynn

Thanked: 0That's very good news Lynn.
I hope and pray the recovery continues and our member....friend... feels better soon.
It's a difficult thing for anyone to go through.

Lynn,
Tell him we wish him the best. We are thinking of him.

Lynn,
Let him know that he's not the only one who has felt like that.
About two years ago or so, I had also considered that option but instead got myself into some counseling. It was a great help for me.
Tell him to hang in there, as the darkness will diminish, and life will start to get better.
Heck, thanks to you guys, I can even play with dangerous toys now. ink:

Dear mystery man,
Glad to hear you haven't left us yet! Remember: suicide is a permanent answer to a temporary problem. No matter how bad things get, there's always someone who has it worse and who's toughing it out.
Hang in there.

At 10 I slept with a gun under my pillow “just incase” I woke up one morning and decided it just wasn’t worth it any more. But it is worth it! WE CAN OLNY SEE THE PAST BUT WE HAVE TO LOOK TO TOMAROW! You never know what good things god may send your way, and you never will if you give up and check out. Sometimes all you can do is take one more step, but than that is all you need to do. One step at a time until you find the door out into the sunlight.
