Just wondering, am I the only one?
That can't get stuff sold? Is the economy really that bad?
I've had a razor up for sale for a while and the price is good (I think) and I've tried selling a couple of pocketknives on another forum but I just can't seem to get rid of them.
Is this happening to a lot of other people?

I'm not sure LX, I recently sold several razors and
hones on the classifieds and they went immediately,
and I also think they were at a good price.

Thanked: 234Yer, I've sold a few bits on the classifieds. They either go within 24 hours or they're too expencive IMO - probably not true for the more expencive stuff.

Thanked: 735If it's your 7/8 TI, I think what happened is that very soon after you listed it, someone else (I forgot who) also listed about 5 very similar 7/8 TIs as well.
But hey, at least I bought your Theunissen!

Things do seem to be taking longer and selling for a little less than I would have thought. The economy is one part and there is more stuff for sale than there was just a couple years ago.

Just put them on eBay saying something like "extremely rare" and set the starting price at 400 bucks...
eBay had been a madhouse for that kind of thing lateley.

Well it's that...and the fact that I've had not one but TWO buyers say that they'll buy it and then pull out when it was pay time.
Getting pretty sick of it. Maybe I will ebay it.

Thanked: 293I agree -- eBay razors are going at a premium right now. It's almost like if you get one at a low price you feel like you're missing a critical flaw in the razor that everybody has noticed except for you.
I hope that's not the case with my latest score...

Hi LX - I think that an earlier poster got it right. Right after your ad went up, there were about 10 other beautiful 6/8" and 7/8" TIs in rapid succession, so now your ad has got pushed to the end of the Classifieds where not so many people go. Why don't you delete your old ad and re-list it where people will see it with fresh eyes again? You might also want to take new photos?

Thanked: 293I'm in the market for a nice TI to add to my collection -- but I can't afford this one.. in any economic climate.
