Google set to wage OS war with Microsoft

So Google has announced that they're going to be releasing an OS sometime in 2010. I'm excited to see a new, real contender, but at the same time it's a little frightening.

With Google, they have a log of much of my life for the past 5 years or so when I got Gmail (never delete anything, the box is so big!). They introduced a homepage that I stay logged into, which either does or can track my searches. They have free productivity software that I can save my files to and access anywhere (aka, the Cloud).

Having access to, or ability to access, this powerful information is something that always scared me about Microsoft, but now someone with even more potential to wrongfully use it has come out and gone further with it.
