Ain't that the truth. The older we get the more of the icons of our collective past go down for the count. A grim reminder of our own mortality.
I was thinking of the day JFK was assassinated. I can never see the replay of Cronkite removing his glasses and getting that choke of emotion in his voice as he reported that the president was dead without choking up myself.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
