I'd say john deer(or whoever is keeping the money pile) has stopped caring about stuff a long time after he aquired all that money from selling all those heavy machines.

Using mono cropping is a serious problem tho, its no different to heroin addiciton. You are using huge resources for short term quick easy near effortless gain that will carry a heavy cost if you keep repeating the process.
