OK, I gotta call BS...200 times more potent? Sheeet....I know some people that can get pretty fantastically good weed. Cared for and grown under exacting circumstances to bring out certain desireable qualities. Still, none of it is so insanely strong that one hit would make you fall over wasted, even if you haven't smoked in years. Was pot so weak back in "the day" that you could take 200 hits and not be wasted?

That aside...HOW should it be legal? Completely unregulated as to the sale, if not possession and use (minimum age?) What about cultivation? I am allowed to brew a certain number of gallons of alcohol a year, I think, micro-brewing is legal, should I be able to grow a plant or two at a time? I think I should. Should I be allowed to sell it on the street? I think no. Treat it like alcohol, some control is a good thing, right?

Also, this "skunk" is it adulterated in some way? The super-strong stuff to which I refer is "good" stuff. It smells wonderful, and I have heard tastes quite good, too, though most people I know use a voporizer to minimize the health risks and physical ramifications of combustion of plant matter. Apparently you lose some flavor, but the feeling is "cleaner."

The "regs" ...is that like the "commercial" in the first days of what was then called "kind bud?" I'm not nearly as exposed to this culture as I was in college, but i still know people who are. I don't think I would get any closer to it even it WAS legal at this point. I enjoy my booze too much, and learned LONG ago that the two don't mix well, for me.

Well it wasn't weak, it was rather "mellow".
The skunk is almost impossible to portion that it works in such a way.
Either it wastes you or it doesn't.
Well and some folks are just plain stupid and crank a 10.00 € portion into one spliff.

I agree. It should be treated just like alcohol.

I don't smoke or use drugs, but I think a lot of problems could be solved by legalizing drugs.

    Problems such as:
Crowded jails, judicial waste prosecuting drug users, more revenue for the government, less spread of disease, etc etc.

Drugs were perfectly legal up to the early 20th century. I never heard of any drug problems other than in China where the British literally forced opium down the throats of the Chinese. Of course, I also think these drugs should be heavily regulated and taxed to death.

Yes. Legalize pot. Legalize all controlled substances for that matter.

Consider this though, who stands to lose the most by the legalization of drugs? I can think of two entities: the black market drug suppliers and the drug war enforcers. Two very rich and powerful special interests.

    Default LEGALIZE MARIJUANA

    HELLO
Because of the excruciating, constant pain I am now in due do the broken titanium implant I had installed to stabilize my lower spine I am forced to take very strong , mind altering, " LEGAL " narcotics ( OXYCONTIN, ZANAFLEX AND SOMA ) all day everyday just to deal with the pain.I have a very long list of side effects from taking these medications and I am in a fog most of the time and forget what happens from day to day. When I was living in Las Vegas Nevada in 2006 and had my back surgery to install the now broken implanted spinal device I qualified and obtained a state legal medical marijuana license. I was allowed to grow 7 plants for my own usage and have up to 3 ounces of cured marijuana for using. I was vaporizing marijuana all day ,everyday and I was far more pain free and functional than I am now using the " LEGAL" medications. But since I live in a very anti marijuana state (FLORIDA) and I don't want to go to jail for using a far more effective and natural medicine and I don't even consider growing or using what I believe to be the most safest, effective and manageable pain reliever known to man.

I know exactly what you mean. I was on narcotics for my back surgery, and I literally can't remember much of anything for a little over a month following my surgery. Afterward, my dad and I were talking about it, and he was telling me everything I missed and I couldn't believe it.
