There is no "if" in this situation. I was not the first to bring up the issue of "pity". I quoted him and replied directly.

You did not make a general statement, you quoted me, and replied to me directly. So yes, I am calling you a hypocrite, and if you insist on thanking me for it, then you're welcome.
