Is it bad???
Is it bad for me to have a warm feeling in my chest and a smile on my face just knowing that the guy who robbed our apartment spent the night in jail last night? He got picked up for an unrelated traffic incident, but then our detective got to grill him for a while... now it looks like we will get a warrant. I've never been one to relish in the discomfort of others, but I just can't seem to wipe the smile off of my face.

Glad to hear he is in jail at the moment. Hopefully you will get a chance to recover some of your stuff. Good luck!

Thanked: 317CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Is it bad? Not in the slightest. As far as I'm concerned, there couldn't be anything LESS wrong than feeling warm and satisfied to see a little bit of justice. I hope you're able to get at least some of your stuff back.

I hope you get your stuff back and an even warmer feeling if and when the perp is convicted and sentenced to prison time.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 369Naw, we're all smiling. That makes us all bad together, don't it?
BTW, thinking back on your OP about this, I think I called it. I was hoping they'd get caught. Glad I was correct.

Too bad they don't give you 5 minutes in there with him to show him the error of his ways....

Not at all. Relish his discomfort. Even if he didn't relish in yours, he intended to profit by it. It's not revenge, it's just the feeling of books balancing.
