    Default " I don't like Mondays"

Brenda Spencer, the one who inspired the Boomtown Rats to write and perform " I don't like Mondays" was once again denied parole:
School Shooter Brenda Spencer Denied Parole - San Diego, California News Station - KFMB Channel 8 - cbs8.com
For those who don't know who she is here is a link:

And the song:YouTube - The Boomtown Rats - I Don't Like Mondays: Video

I remember this story as if it was yesterday.

Well now...you learn something new every day. I never knew it was based on reality! Can't say as I'm surprised, though...

Well now, you could learn a thing or two in the political world if you listened to me more often Jim!

    I can't stop listening to "I don't like Mondays"

You know, I bet Lee wasn't even a glimmer in his papas eye when that shooting occurred.

I believe this was the first grade school mass shooting in the US. There were a couple of college shootings before this. Kent state being one and the tower shootings in 66 I believe.

Ah yes, the 70s. Mark, is that when you were overseas learning how to shave your legs?

That is sad. She ruined her life and there is no bringing back the two murdered men or alleviating the trauma of the wounded or of the families of all of those involved including hers. Way too late to be sorry.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Despite the tragic circumstances behind it, I like the song, its very nostalgic. Thanks JMS!

This girl was what? 16, 17 when she was put in gaol? When was that, 1980 - ish? A tragic waste, no matter which side you look at it from.

    James.
