Shamwow
So I noticed a few weeks ago that Wal-Mart had Shamwows on the impulse rack at the cash register and thought how odd that was. Fast forward to two nights ago when my washer decided to leak about half a basket full of water onto my carpet. Not wanting to use our towels on the floor, I decided to give the Shamwow a go. At $6 for two of the small ones, I figured it wasn't much.
I'll be damned if it didn't soak everything up. At the first go, it's no different than any other quality towel in soaking abilities. Where it impressed me is you can wring out almost all the water in one wring and go back for more (unlike most towels). I soaked up literally a half-basket of water from the carpet
Today I was feeling silly and decided to use one to dry off after a shower. Once again, it's the small one- about the size of a handtowel and much thinner. I didn't think it would get all of me, especially my hair, but it did! I entirely dried off with just one! I intend to keep a few around for washing the vehicles and soaking up messes on the carpet.
If you frequently dry things up, you might give it a go. I guess some things aren't all hype

Thanked: 51I use one under my honing stones cuz I like to use some water when I hone. And when I'm done I can wrap my stones in them to protect them from banging together while I carry them in my tackle bag. I go to friends houses and we hone our razors.

Thanked: 21That's interesting. I've thought about getting some for various things, but never knew anyone who had tried one. I don't tend to believe anything I see on TV, much less on infomercials.

That has to be the most terrible phrase any infomercial has ever used.
Captain, I'm the same way, especially with sleazeballs like Vince Shlomi. In fact, this is the first "as seen on TV" item I've ever bought. I figured at the worst, I've got a couple of $3 towels I can keep in my truck for various spills. I was pleasantly surprised when it worked as advertised.
