A friend of SWMBO was giving her first sermon in a church in NJ. I smoked four beef briskets and three racks of pork spare ribs for the repast after the service. Then I sent the meat with the boss and played with the dog on sunday!

So far? I worked last night, and went back to work to see a show tonight.

Sure, we have freakshows now and then, but tonight I pulled up to work and damn near had to bounce a pile of kilt-wearing bagpipe players out of the way with the front bumper of my truck.

    Working again tomorrow night.

Drove the wife and kids to the airport to fly to Toronto to see in-laws. Then went home and converted an old aquarium into a terrarium. Still had all the gear like pumps and stuff so it just needed some maintenance, care and attention.

Then I went and bought a couple of hatchling map turtles. The kids are gonna be so happy when they see this!

Last week was my first full week of teaching and waking up at 5:30. I slept in today until noon today. Scaled up a couple of Wade and Butchers and sharpened stuff. My lawn is up to my knees in spots. Maybe next week...What a bum!

Friday I went to a muscle car museum and wanted every single car so bad. I almost got mad when I read the mileages on the marvels, the were not being used at all. It is abuse to have such a nice car and never let it get fresh air!
Worked on saturday, I am working on the river right now as a raft-guide, so it was one trip down with a bunch of indian people, then cleaning and armoralling a bunch of rafts.
Today I am just slacking at a small café, amazing smoothies and internet (have got no such luxury in my tent)

If only my life could be this simple!!!

    What I would give.

I went to the zoo with the kids. My 4.5 yo decided all weekend that he was king of the world and decided to make my life and his mom's miserable. He has this internal function of being able to turn off his brain and his ears at the same time. So that if we say "Do not go any where, stay here." - he hears, "Go any where." and does.
