Default What did you do this weekend?

I am in the middle of reconditioning our 2001 Ford Escape. So far I replaced the brake shoes, camel humps, flushed/filled that system, replaced the fuel filter, flushed/filled the coolant, replaced the thermostat, replaced the drive belt and the accessory belt. Assorted oil changes, transmission flush and fill. Now I need to repack the bearings and go and get my transaxle fluid changed.

Worked 12 1/2 hours on Saturday and 9 on Sunday. Another day's work today and tomorrow and then I am off for three days.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

My wife also drives a 2001 Escape, anyway, the left front turn signal bulb burnt out and I figure it would be a quick change. I grab the owner's manual and it says is to take it to a dealer or qualified mechanic. What? So then I grab the handy Chilton's repair manual. Imagine my surprise when the manual starts out by saying loosen the lug nuts. I thought I was looking in the wrong section of the book. I double check and sure enough the only way to get to that bulb is to remove the wheel and inner fender splash guard. I guess that will be my Saturday morning project. No wonder people get raked over the coals for labor when going to a dealer for repairs.

I was in class all day Saturday, doing a mock exam for my accountancy final. Which is a week on Wednesday...! Yikes!

Sunday was great though, really hot and sunny so I had the roof down on the car. Lovely!

Yeah I had to do that too. My jaw dropped when I read that. I looked at the instructions and said WTF!! Remove the tire to change a light bulb? And to top it off the access is big enough to barely get your hand in. BTW there are two sizes of accessory belts. By both until you know.

Spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday at my hunting lease.
Friday I did housecleaning in my camper and cookshack.
Saturday was tree stand inspection and repair plus trimming back limbs and clearing fall downs on trails.
Sunday we cut down some dead trees in the camping area, including three large cedars.
Next weekend I need to check the brakes on my pickup and do the annual maintenance on the ATV.

I installed a new chandelier over the dining room table. Then I got drunk because of how frustrating it was.

If you had been drunk before it wouldn't have been so frustrating.
