Your wife is of the "such a disposable lasts at least two months"-logic?

At this point she wouldn't agree to a Livi, but when I said I'd like to buy a new razor in a few months she told me to get something more than a basic. She admited that she hated buying the 'stupid cartridges' for me because I had to change them every two days or my face would have serious razor burn which lead to lots of ingrown hairs. The last cartridge I had two years ago was a fusion. with those prices as posted I'd be at about $650 in a year!!! For a crappy shave!!!! Now I understand that some can use a cartridge without problems, I'm just saying crappy shave for me. In fact, my face has never been this good now that I've started with SR shaving. Even with a DE it was good, but not this good!!

Thus far the only truly new razor I've purchased was a Wapi. For the most part mine came from ebay, flea market, srp classifieds or the one I won in an srp giveaway.

It is a decent collection, not quite as nice as Lynn's, but who's is? I'm up to 3 Wades, 1 Joseph Rodgers, 3 George Wostenholm & Son's, 1 Timor, a couple of Robesons, 1 Keen Kutter,a Challange Cutlery, a Expert Barber 400 and a Barclay Bros....just in my rotation. I have a few that needs honing left, but not too many. I've done pretty well, I think the most I've given for a razor was 40 or 50.

Don't forget to include the opportunity costs and fringe benefits!

It's not about direct cost, it is about VALUE!

    LOL!
