Is there a fix for IE8 users here?
I'm still having issues with the adds and banners getting placed over text areas in the forums. Chat is the worst, I can't see 75% of the text area. Even if the banners don't show up, the space they where in is blank just showing the background of the page. I have all the updates I can find and nothing works.
Getting frustrating...

Right-Click your mouse on an empty desktop area, click properties then switch to the 'settings' tab.

Thanked: 522Screen Resolution may be problem
Go to START MENU
Click Control Panel
Click Appearances
Click Screen Resolution
Change resolution to a higher number.
The font size will diminish as your go to higher numbers but you will get more on your screen.
OR: Remove IE8 and reinstall IE7.
Do something rather than nothing.
That's what the Afghans did in the mid 80's. They did something. That's why the Soviets went home in 1989.
Good Luck.....

if you want to remove IE8
-control panel
-add/remove programs
-find "IE8"
-uninstall..
your PC should revert back to IE7 if that was what you were using to begin with before upgrading to IE8 ..requiring a restart(which it will ask to do anyways)..
I upgraded to the IE8 from microsoft.com and i decided it was still too "buggy". So back to IE7 for me and problem free

I use Opera (just upgraded yesterday to 10.00) and looks ok. Although I still have IE in reserve for those webs that do not cope well outside Microsoft world..
