    Good example, Jimmy... but that's David Burke in the clip playing Watson. Edward Hardwicke took over as Watson after the first season.

    You're right of course I had forgotten that. Funny thing, I have all three seasons of Rumpole of the Baily on DVD.

    I was angry with them when they replaced the original SWMBO after the first season and didn't like the replacement as much.

    So not having seen an episode for over a year I had forgotten all about that. I happened to watch the whole 3 seasons again a show at a time over the past few weeks but I started from season 3 to season 2 and then 1.

    It was only when I got to season 1 that I remembered the change and I was surprised that I liked the replacement better this time around than the original Mrs. Rumpole.
