I was pointing to his inconsistencies not whether they are right or wrong. If what you say is true He owes a big apology to Bush or at least an explanation to the American people. When he is forthright I will begin to believe he is honest and that he is taking sound advice.

Thanked: 13246One thing I would like to point out about the government and their managing of our money...
Having just dealt with this
3 billion for Cash 4 Clunkers Wooooooo what a great success !!!!!
HA !!!
Here ya go guys
1.5 Billion to Administrate the system (that went to somebody's friends I am pretty sure)
1.5 Billion to the Auto Dealers
Money so far paid to the Dealers who were in bad shape before this great GOVERNMENT program???? less than 14%
The Auto Dealers are at this moment funding the Cash 4 Clunker program...
Now do you think the hospitals could survive such ADMINISTRATION?????
There are friends of mine that are sitting on over 1.5 million in promised C4C money that is still owed them...
We at our little dealership only did 10 C4C deals we were paid on 2 so we are ahead of the 14% curve...
Yeah I don't see giving the government any more of my money to manage for me...
I have a great idea, how about you give me a $4000 tax break and I buy my own damn health insurance?????? Ooooooooo now there is an idea I can get behind 100%...

I agree with about all you said Kelly. On ending the war, I was worried that he would fall into the same trap as his predecessors. It seems anyone who gets in there while a war is being fought can't bear the idea of being the one who 'loses' the war. I was in Target not long ago looking at a pair of cargo shorts..... made in the Republic of Vietnam.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I did not miss the meat as you say I only expanded it to not only show that he is not being honest but you should not take him at face value on anything.
I am willing to concede as JimmyHAD pointed out that he may just be taking good advice contrary to his original positions but until he shows a bit of forthrightness instead of pretty speeches that don't reflect the truth and sound more like campaigning ( A nicer way of saying that he is lying to gain approval and support) I will be skeptical.

Torte reform.
Direct pay is always cheaper than having a middleman.
If we must have a middleman then Competition is the answer. I understand that competition between insurance companies is severely limited by government. The Republicans have an idea called portable insurance which allows the people to beable to choose between the thousands of insurance companies across the USA instead of the 5 or 6 I get to choose from in my state.
