The other issue is that if we're going by the Constitution, then our troops should have never been there in the first place because there still has not been a declaration of war.
So why hasn't our leader seen fit to pull them out as he promised? Maybe a promise doesn't mean anything to him, or possibly there is a need to have them there beyond the info we civilians have received.
