    Default Treydampier banned for 3 months

    Trey got banned for 3 months.

    Registering a dummy account to evade a 3 day timeout, and then using that account to continue in the same tone that got you banned is not a stellar idea. To clarify further: this ban has nothing to do with the reason for the original 3 day timeout.

    3-7 day bans get issued as a cooling off period, more than as punishment. We use these cooling off periods to calm things down, and to prevent people from losing their temper completely and saying things they don't mean. This we we don't have to issue draconian bans. At least not often.

    Longer bans are issued as a punitive measure, and only for serious offenses. Evading a ban (going against mod decision) to continue to make things worse in a discussion is one of these offenses.
