Price war! Fight fight fight....!
So it appears there is a bit of a price war going on between some of the supermarkets in the UK.
Asda has cut 40% off the price of cartridge razor refills, so they're "only" a fiver now. Five pounds! For some blades! Madness..!
Anyway, heres the article:
Cut throat battle shaves 40% off price of razors | Mail Online
If you look on the comments you'll see Stuart, London, 08/10/2009 12:30. Thats me, fighting the straight razor corner! Maybe I should have put a link to SRP in as well, and got a few new members!
It always amazes me just what a rip off those mach 3/ fusion POS's are. And they look like total junk!
Anyway, just thought I'd post it so you can all laugh at the P&G spokesman comment of 'The Fusion razor - our premium product - is simply the best and most advanced razor on the market,'
Of course it is mate...
Clearly the guy has never heard of Mastro Livi!

Well done mate, right on the first page!
However, I don't believe that asda would be willing to spend its own dough for providing cartridges for us. Assuming that, it means they would be just cutting their own profits, which have been > 40%. I don't know, maybe I'm too suspicious.

I voted your comment up as well. Maybe somebody will start to think.

It is such a DE thought though. On the one hand, I feel bad for all of the lemmings using that disposable garbage. On the other hand, if they start to switch, I won't be able to score things like a Wostenholm frameback for $5 shipped.

Even if he did, he still wouldn't praise straight razors in this comments
The man is just singing the songs what his boss tells him to.
However this 40 % cut off only shows how much there is air in the prices of those refills. They still get their profits, even with reduced prices. Think about all other 'inevitable' stuff people spend their money every day without even thinking there would be better and cheaper alternatives. Just a sign of a times...'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'
