Thread: Crazy story, all true.

Okay, so I live in Utah and we still have some very old vet around here. At one point I was talking with a guy who I call brother Ashton. The brother part of it is because we go to the same church. After are weekly talk about the good old days and his war career I brought up that I was shaving with straights at this point. He wanted to know why I would do that when we have such amazing razor now days. I told him that it was because I hated the new style and so I loved the old style he said I should be careful or I would end up with one ear. I wanted the story after this remark so he began.

I was working in a base up north and by up north I mean in the worst way We were stationed as far north as the united states let us go. I recall the main problem with being that far north was that the ice would close in and cut off supplies and that could get us in a lot of trouble. Now I was working as a supply manager when I walked into a couple of guy trying to brew up some moonshine and they were shooting the shit. I took a seat because there was little to do that day and we talked for a couple of hours and played some cards. when we got bored of that we started trying to figure out who was the craziest there. As I recall there were three main crazy things to do in the cold north one was to walk around naked two was to try and swim the dry dock and three was to lay down on the single runway when a plane came down to land all of these were out because of the fact that a storm was rolling in. So it came down to a simple game of one up I told them I could stand on my head and it went from there tell the newest marine stood up and called that he could shave with a sword and that made as all take notice after a couple of minutes of brag in he walked to get is sword. He came back and used a simple can of shaving cream to wet his face and started trying to shave with it. After a couple of face passes he was ready to show off and he held the blade a was away and slide it across his jaw bone and then we saw the blood he had some how gotten the blade behind his ear and as he pulled down he had sliced into it his ear. The ear was still on his head but there was a large cut across the top as we talked about what to do he blacked out from the sight of his own blood.

This is the story all facts are true I don't know the exact year but if you want to know I can go ask.

What I got from that story was moonshine plus sword plus shaving attempt equals missing ear.
