    Default Any coyote hunters?

My hunting lease is becoming overrun with yotes. A buddy shot a doe right at dark with his bow and couldn't find her that evening. When we found her the next morning more that half had been eaten by coyotes.
So I'm going to begin thinning them after deer season.
I have a e caller coming from Foxpro, the scorpion model is on sale now. I'm going to wait on an additional rifle for this as I have a .250 Savage with a 3x9 scope.
I'm looking for websites and tips. I've found Predator Masters and Al's Varmint websites, but would like more for research.

a real good pair of field glasses so you can pick them out when they hide and watch you. we have been thining them out, but they are pack animals and they roam , when we get them thened down a new pack comes along, so it gives us good hunting all year long.

My 22-250 was my Coyote killing machine, I still have the rifle but Idaho is way different then Colorado...
I was hunting hides back then, so that round left only a tiny little entrance wound and no exit....

    I have a round I call my 4x4x4

    40gr Sierra hp
    40 grians of H-380 powder
4040 feet-per-second avg over my Chrono

warning: all loads should be appraoached with caution as all ammo and rifles are not the same....

I've always used a .22LR hollow point. Ruger 1022 with a scope. Works like a charm.

Man, that used to be fun, I havent done this since I was a kid, the state would pay 20$ for a pair of ears, pretty good money for a kid back in the '70s.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain
