    Default Google Wave

    Hi shavers,

Recently I've read about google wave, the incredible "new thing" from google.
You can check it out here.

I was wondering if anyone is in this service, and can tell us how he or she likes it!

    Well that's it for today!

    kevor.

I've played around with wave a bit and I have to say I'm not particularly impressed. So far I haven't come up with a use case for it. *shrug*

    Kevor,

PM me your email address, and you'll get the last invite I have. It looks promising, but is maybe 70% finished. The document collaboration is not there, for example.

    Regards,
    Robin

From what I can see, it's very incomplete. Other than a few two-way chats, I've not been able to do much more than play a game of suduku on a little app you can download.

Being alone on Wave is one of the loneliest experiences! LOL.

This looks fun though... wish I could work out how to do it.

+1 to this. Looks promising, but the way some talk about it smacks of the Emperor's New Clothes to me.

    Chaps,

gwave is still in beta testing. Google have proven that they can write excellent software. I'm sure gwave will be very useful. Imagine it in a corporate scenario - there are some truly interesting possibilities.

    Regards,
    Robin

As I said, it looks promising. I was commenting more on the hype surrounding it than the software itself.

Incidentally, so was I But you certainly have a point. That's the problem with public beta (or, rather, alpha) testing - some people go way overboard, especially if they are not programmers.

I wouldn't mind checking it out if somebody has an invite.
