But I think this is at a slight tangent to the OP. As I understand it, Introvert/Extrovert as used in Myers-Briggs is not synonymous with how we use the terms in everyday language.

In lay terms, I reckon it's context-driven. With close friends I'd say I was mildly extrovert, but in polite company the opposite.

Definite extrovert. Odd because as a class of beings I really dislike people.

    ESTJ here.

Introvert in big crowd, extrovert in small group.

I have had to give presentations to large groups (several hundred) and that is tough!

Edit: I did some teaching at the college level and somehow that seemed easy. Perhaps because I was incredibly prepared compared to the audience.

Introvert. INTP on the Meyers-Briggs scale.

I can remember my PE teacher going round the class and telling every one if he thought they were introvert or extrover. He couldn't pick it for me.

Extroverts make up only 25% of the population, but they are such loudmouths, you'd swear it was THEY who were the majority!

Maybe he thought you were just 'overt'?

I love to socialise 95% of the time, and I'm the one out there being loud and telling the jokes and laughing like a lunatic...!

There are times though when I just want the whole world to clear off and leave me alone, and I just want to sit inside and play music or something. I dont want to be talked to, I just want to enjoy my own company and some peace and quiet..!

So I guess I am mainly an extrovert, with introverted moments!

I'm an introvert by nature, but I am often an extrovert if I'm involved in a cause or situation about which I have strong feelings. In other words, I'm an introvert who, on occasion, feels the need to get on his soapbox.
