No, I don't watch the ABC, CBS, or NBC news.

Well, once in a great while I will if I or someone else I know is supposed to appear on it.

But I don't choose one over the other, I just turn the tv on and press the channel up button until one of them appears. If it's a commercial, I press channel up some more

I used to watch that back when I had trouble sleeping occasionally

Watching the bags under his eyes ripple and undulate as he yawns is mesmerizing

PS Lehrer is the leftest non-cable news I ever watched

Yeah I know. The only reason I watch it is because there are no commercials and I hate the damn things. On Friday I like the news of the week analysis between David Brooks and Mark Shields.

If I had my way sooner I would have been right there with you; thankfully my wife finally agreed last year. No reception, no cable. We're unplugged that way. Who needs to do yoga or meditate to be at peace? I love it. I can't tell you how much.

I am required to monitor CBS, so I watch that.

I also am required to monitor NPR and AJE (Al Jazeera - English).

IMO, Al Jazeera has a different global reporting style that washes out the other US news. IIRC, Al Jazeera is considered favorable for news reporting in the US, that is, if you can get it in the US right now. For me, I prefer Al Jazeera for being to the point and reporting on things most stations avoid because they don't want to lose ratings or receive complaints.

Getting back on topic, I have to watch CBS. However, I only watch the news at home if I know someone will be in it or for local weather. And, for that I tend to lean towards NBC for some reason.

When go online to read the news I am all over the place. I go to NBC, CBS, Drudge Report, Huffington Post, BBC, Al Jazeera - English and NPR.

I find that there is little difference between "the news" and "Entertainment Tonight".ATM I cant remember which one has a little more relevant truth.
