O.K. I'll only add one small thing. The USSR may be defunct, but socialist policies they held are alive and well in the U.S. today. So it is somewhat germane to the subject. :)

I might be wrong but i think that people who really lived under Soviet rule would maybe have another opinion on that.

Living at these latitudes it is very familiar to have a frozen water pipes.
I know what helps: beer. Doesn't melt the pipes but after having few beers life feels much better :)

Thanks for clarifying, now I understand what you are talking about. I would argue that these people are not true Christians and do not speak for Orthodox Christianity. It's appauling what these people do and they are NOT Christians.

A couple of quick points,,,

One please don't refer to Right Winger's as Christians some of us are far from Christian... :rant:

Two why is it that with Islam and Christianity every single time somebody says that these religions have "hate" problems ie: Westboro Baptist, Jihadists... we hear instantaneously that these "people" are not true Christians/Muslims???????????? I think both religions should have to do SERIOUS re-writes to their "Holy Books" so there can be no Kill, Kill, Hurt, Hurt, interpretations possible, and if they don't, they no longer are tax exempt... :medvl:

In the old Soviet Union and in China today I don't believe that either one had/have actual laws written that make religion illegal...

However you don't want to be Proselytizing in either place... which honestly I do believe should be illegal :mace:
