Thanked: 235Just wondering about the straight razor user demographics
There seems to be a common thread between straight razor users. It seems that many of us either have been or are serving in the military, many of us have been involved in some form of law enforcement and many of us have at least a working knowledge of firearms.
So I wanted to know, are there any straight razor users here who have not been in the military, have not been involved in law enforcement and have not used firearms.
This, of course, rules me out.

No military, law enforcement, or any other similar type of service. I have fired a few of my friends guns a bit (I'm a terrible shot) but never legally owned my own gun.
I have considered signing up for a gun safety class at a local range followed by some visits to the range to test some different guns out. I figured if the occasion ever arose that I ended up with a gun in my hand I would probably want to know how to not shoot myself in the foot (or face, or anywhere else for that matter).

I think most members by far don't fit that mould. Probably those that do just happen to post more because of their backgrounds which just makes them more opinionated and aggressive maybe?

No on the first two though I am comfortable around firearms and have plans for a few purchases. Largely due to my WWII re-enacting (British Airborne Recce, Arnhem period)and love for mechanical items of all sorts.

No military or L.E.
I've been to the firing range (and various open areas) a few times with friends' weapons, but I don't own any.

I wasn't military when I started straight razor shaving, but I did own several guns at the time.
