Thread: I cut myself with my straight razor without shaving.

I nearly cut the end of my middle finger off just trying to clean one; I told people I was trying to make it the same length as the other fingers.

Most of my cuts were not in shaving on my face but just handling them. The two worst was I was walking to the table to tighten the pins on a razor and the thing just closed by itself on my finger. The other was while shaving I was holding the razor edge up in one hand and adjusting the water faucet with the other and crossed one hand over the other raking one finger down the entire blade length.

These days I'm very mindful of where the edge is at all times.
