Thread: I cut myself with my straight razor without shaving.

I was stropping today and I saw a thin flap from where I nicked it and I got closer to where I could see better to grab it and pull it off and when I stood back up I accidently took the tip of my thumb and slid it down the bottem of the blade, so I basically cut myself while stropping my razor, I do believe that takes skill ^_^. It didn't hurt much at all but boy it bled for about an hour D: Probably the dumbest way I'v gotten cut.

Don't feel too bad. I think most of the guys (if they were honest about it) could come up with a few "D'oh!" moments. Not me, of course.....

I definitely have some D'oh moments, but cutting yourself while stropping, what are you Emo or something?

i havent cut myself like that yet, but not too long ago i got sidetracked during a shave, and dinged an edge on one of my blades

I've cut my self more with razors out of the bathroom than in it. I put a nice one right on the tip of my middle finger doing HHT the other day hahaha.

i cut myself while honing on my narrow 12k chinese because i wasn't paying attention and let my finger curl up instead of keeping my hand flat. i was kinda mad but put a band aid on it and kept going and then did the same thing on the next finger. ha! now that was a d'oh moment for sure!

Before I got a system down I had deep cuts on both my hands in several places from restoring blades. I work with my hands all day too, so I got my system down pretty quick. OUCH!
