"It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news," says Palin.

    Classic.

Fox is only unbalanced in comparison to the other networks. They're left of center according to comparison studies (Pew, IIRC), but the rest of the networks are even further left.

So you're agreeing with me, then. Anything left or right of centre must be unbalanced.

I agree that anything outside of center is unbalanced. I don't agree with the unspoken implication that Fox is the only unbalanced news network, or the most unbalanced.

I was certainly implying that it was unbalanced; I was certainly not implying that it was the "only" unbalanced one.

Fifty years ago my grandfather, then 78, told me to believe half of what you see and nothing that you read. It took me forty years to figure out that he was right. I have about as much confidence in the news media as I do in the politicians that they cover.... if you want to call it that.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Agreed - I read a number of news sources, that's the only way you're going to get anywhere close to the truth. I didn't realize how many different sources I read until we had a network problem at work and a bunch of them were unreachable.

Yep, that's pretty accurate, JimmyHAD. He sounds like a smart man.

So you're grandfather is what, 128 now? How's he doing?
