I saw that and wondered to myself, "Was that there before?"

    Anyway, I like it!

    Great avatar there freddo!

By the way, this below is kept at a dock here about 4 miles from my place. It was built in Aberdeen in 1877.

That is a great sight, I love the tall ships. I remember when Aberdeen harbour was full of the competitors in the Tall Ships race about ten years ago, it was a glorious sight to see them all leaving Nigg bay to return to sea and resume the race. They were treated to a display by The Red Arrows, truly the ancient and modern together!
I hope they return soon, it was a great event for the city.

Ot, but Tall Ships Race is one of the greatest events there is. We've had it here in Turku for 3 times. 1996, 2003 and 2009. Every time it has become more and more popular. Last summer we had more than 500 000 tourists during one weekend and that was hmm, maybe little crowded.
When the ships arrive and leave, they sail very close from where i live. It is a beautiful sight to see them in full sails. Hope they will come back some day.

OK, now for an alternate sig line:

There can be no doubt that the Scots are a very romantic race, and I used to think that my own grandfather was a shining example of that. He would always call my grandmother darlin', sweetheart, angel. However, when I complimented him one day he only grunted "Ach I forgot her name 15 years ago".
