I used to make some pretty clever birthday cakes when my kids were little. An elephant, a truck, even a transformer, but this one takes the...well this one beats them all.

Thanked: 235I miss having flake (shark) and chips from the local fish and chip shop. There is an English cafe somewhere in Bangkok, but the closest they can do to flake and chips is battered smelly fish and soggy chips all cooked in rancid fat.

I've eaten shark many times and was almost eaten by them. Hey! Is that the snorkel I lost in Key Largo?

hoglahoo,
Very creative birthday cake. It looks delicious. Congrats!!!
As for your question...No I haven't, but my wife used to eat it on a regular basis when her father brought home sand sharks from his fishing trips in Chesapeake Bay. They are a real bear to prepare. Her mother had to use pliers to remove the outer skin and boil the remaining flesh to remove the toxins before cooking."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter."
