Thanked: 586A Question to Our European Folks
I went to a club in New York City last week to hear my friend Natascha Roth sing (here she is with the late Coleman Mellett):

After the show she introduced me to her father who was a remarkable man. He was very good looking, very well spoken and charming. I learned later he is a celebrity in Europe. His name is Thomas Roth[Our man in Moscow : Thomas Roth
Is anyone familiar with him?Last edited by icedog; 01-26-2010 at 02:00 AM.

I admit to not knowing the man. Never heard of him. Probably from before my time.

I live in the UK. The only Roth that comes to mind is Phillip Roth, the writer.

Thanked: 116I never heard of him until now for a simple reason: he is a German journalist working for ARD. Due the language issues across Europe, he'd be famous in Germany and possibly Switzerland or Austria... and at a stretch, a tiny part of Belgium.
