need photo uploading help
can anyone explain to me why my pics which were uploaded with the same camera, same program, same everything, are all of a sudden displaying at a gazillion pixels and bytes? I am not a techi (obviously) but I didn't have this problem before. I can't seem to find any place to change the size before uploading so am I missing something?

You might check in the cameras settings, perhaps the quality of the photos being taken was increased... you would see a significant increase between, say, 2.1 meg snapshot quality and 4.1...
Other than that, I know *nothing*. Wish I could be more helpful.

It's likely because your computer screen is 1024x768 pixels and a ten megapixel picture is 3888x2592 pixels....or...about twelve times larger than your screen. When I resize pics for internet consumption, I always try to resize down to 800x600 to keep it forum friendly. If you're not tech-savvy, try getting a photobucket account. You can upload your pics, resize them easily and photobucket will even give your premade 'tags' that you can copy and paste directly into the forums will ease.

I don't know much more than you do ... if I even know that much .. but check the menu on your camera and see if it has an 'email' mode. That is where I leave mine set and it is working well for uploading pics to the forum.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I signed up for photobucket and it seemed to be working now. I will check for the "email mode" on the camera though I just have the simple Kodak easy share. The option may be there somewhere. Even the "easy share" can be a challenge to me
