Thanked: 1262Excellent! That is why I am still driving my 1998 Civic. I would like a new car, but i really enjoy not having a monthly car payment.

Yes congrats, I remember how happy I was to pay off my 2001 E250 back in '06. Now take what would have been a few payments and get a custom Livi to lay on that Kanayama you've got coming.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 259i am sure you all have heard of dave ramsey. well i tried one of his theories. instead of buying a new truck, i found out what the payments would be and put that money in the bank for 48 months. then when i had the money to pay cash for one. i decided i really did not want to spend all that money i had saved and just bought a nice used truck for cash and had plenty left over in the bank. of course sometimes you have no choice but buy now since your old vehicle died on you. but it is nice to have a car or truck paid off..

Congrats!
I've still got a couple of years left on my car loan. I would have saved up, but I just wanted to get a silly car while I could so I just went for it..!
Its great to get something like that cleared off though, good news..!

I know by my own experience how great feeling it is when you have paid off your car. Excellent!
Have no loans of any kind at the moment but it is likely that i will have to buy a newer car soon: my daughter will get her drivers license within two weeks and i have no strong confidence that she would be able to drive through this slippery winter without any damages done to my car.'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'
