Anatomy Ultrasound.
No lengthy post here, just expressing a bit of nervousness toward my wife's appointment today. We go in at eleven, and hopefully will be able to determine the sex of the baby. At about 20 weeks in, we still have a bit to go.

Yes, good luck. That first scan can be a bit magic. Gives a first glimpse.

Gotcha. We have a name picked for either a boy or girl, and really have no preference toward one or the other. I am all for magic, but I think I would rather be able to tell people what we need beforehand. I can only imagine what it would be like finding out the gender of the child as it was born, though. If we had the money to grab everything we needed at once, that is the way I would prefer to find out.

Congratulations, Blockhead. I hope it's healthy and everything goes well. I don't have a baby yet, or a wife, so can foolishly spend all my money or razors and things.
I love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!

Good luck! Remember to ask a print from the ultrasound. Will be the first pic of your baby.

This is your first ultrasound? I know that the first ultrasound that you can determine the sex is somewhere around 20 weeks, so maybe that's what you meant...
My wife and I have an appointment today, too. It's her second ultrasound and she's a bit shy of 12 weeks. (Of course, it just looks like a little blob in the first photo.) We've got hopes for what the baby is, but I'll be happy either way so long as he/she is healthy.
Good luck Blockhead! I'm sure everything will be just fine!

No, this was the second ultrasound. The 12 week one was postponed.
It's a boy! They were able to count ten fingers and ten toes, measure all limbs, and check organ development. 12 ounces, everything was fine as far as development goes.
Awesome.
We will name him Alexander Pate. Alexander is my wife's Great Grandfather's name, and Pate is my middle name, my Grandfather's middle name, and my Great Grandfather's middle name.
Awesome.
