I've been hearing excerpts of TW's Mea culpa on the radio news today and I can't wait until they move on to the next big thing. So the guy got caught cheating on his wife. I come from a time when people didn't wash their dirty laundry in public. I can't understand what would make the guy want to get in front of the camera and spend 13 1/2 minutes apologizing to the world. Am I missing something ? Is anyone else as sick of hearing about his daliances as I am ?

I think it's more what he's missing, millions of dollars from endorsing products.

He's still got generational wealth... he's doing it because he was put on a pedestal and made larger than life in the eyes of a lot of people (didn't you hear the "special apology" to the families who had children that looked up to him?). I don't think he is doing it for money at all. He's in rehab (and as we all know making amends is part of the process).

I'm a weird guy, but I believe that he can seriously love his wife and kids while still getting caught up in the temptation. We can all talk about what we would and wouldn't do, but until we get to the point that famous people want to meet us, it's impossible for us to know what it must be like for him. I was never even close to being a famous athlete, and I could easily see how it happens just based on the temptations floating around me...

Good point. But what would you do if not publicly proclaiming your love for Gilette Mach 598 and opposing the NRA would cost you the majority of your income stream, lifestyle, public image (wait, there's something wrong in my reasoning here

)? Sure, wimpy on one side, but there's some level of pragmatism there. After all, didn't he nail half the Vivid Entertainment stable while his wife already kicked him out? (might've misread some of this "news")

Black & white reasoning is usually easy from the sideline, but in just about any case there's only shades of grey.
