    A very very full and overflowing life filled with one impressive accomplishment after another.
    His military career alone deserves great honor admiration and respect - West Point grad, Silver Star, Bronze Star, Distinguished Service Cross, Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart, assended to the highest possible rank as an officer.
    Seemed intolerant of political 'chicanery'.

    he was a very interesting character. sadly he is probably most remembered for the one statement "i am in control here" much as Dan Quayle will be remembered for one screw up.
