The first sign that I was growing old is the hone-wear on my forehead and temples... /rimshot...

Seriously, though... My glasses prescription is 10.25 and 10.75 (left, then right, respectively)... My father is 57, and has had glasses since he was 24... His prescription is (again, respectively) 4.75 and 5.75... I wear COKE BOTTLE glasses!!

According to my Eye Doctor, I'm a prime candidate for Lasiks surgery... Or a legal blindness card...

I shutter to think of my eyes when I'm, no offense, you guys' ages...

on that note, i have been lucky, my lens script is only a total of +1 in both eyes, i have a .25 upper lens, and a .75 bifocal lens, which having to own up to bifocals, was probably the most depressing part of my life. i mean, only old people wear bifocals.

Best birthday card I got in the last dozen years
said something like: "You know you are getting
old when people stop sending you money". Now
I always stick a dollar in the birthday card with that line.....

I'm 45 and luckily no glasses, gray hair or hair loss yet, but the day will be near.
I get signs of getting old as well. Few weeks ago my daughter (18 yo) and her boyfriend spent a holidays in Stockholm Sweden. I picked them home from the harbour, and as they were unpacking their stuff i saw a tax-free 24-pack of my favourite beer. "How nice of you..." i started, but they said no. These are not for you but for us

A friend of mine who retired years once said: Getting old is when you spent your nights running for a pee and then spent your days trying to remember peoples names.
