hmm, I've only experience with golden retrievers, not the short hair labs, and don't have ANY experience with rottweilers or Staffordshire Terriers. are any of these 3 breeds a "yappy" type dog? the light one tends to yap herself to sleep when I cage them and they both bark incessantly at each other when unable to wrestle a toy away from the other.

Most of your smaller breeds are stereotyped as "yappy"...larger breeds are not so noisy...except when they're little. They're all like two year olds. Hey Good luck with your pups.

I think I overlooked about the lab mix. Labs are great. Personally, I think you've got a great mix in those two breeds.

    Heh.
Last night I couln't take the yapping anymore. I remixed the sound of a cessna 152 engine on idle to get an hour's worth of audio and burned the CD and put it on repeat. They slept til 5 and barked to be taken out, then went back to sleep til 9:00 a.m.

I coulda done without being woke up at 5 on a weekend but thank God they don't like to dump in their bed.

    lol...lol... now thats funny. A cessna...as in a plane...lol

that is so perfect, the sound reminds them of their Mom..and her rumbling belly. I didn't see the photos of the pups..How old are they ?

Sounds like you have them Kenneled...first step to a well-trained dog. Most animals will refrain from soiling their area if they are in a confined space. But keep in mind...pups are unable to control (with any consistency) their bowel or bladder until 4 mo. of age.

I just love the remixed cessna...you have a marketing gold mine there!! Audio tapes to put those yappy pups to sleep, you'll sell a million!

I posted a couple recent pictures. It's almost a month since I found them. don't know if you can tell how much they've grown or not.

Ok, I'm ignorant on dog breeds so bear with me. Isn't "pit bull" a classification like "guard dog" or "lap dog"? I know the earlier posts associated the staffordshire terriers with "pit bull" but I've heard on talk radios that "pit bull" just means a dog destined to fight "in the pit".

If I'm wrong please let me know. You have me curious now.

LOL...O.K. I just looked down..found the link for the photos.

FUD You've got two good lookin pups there. Two different "Dads" is my guess.

Keaton..I have to agree with you. One looks like a pitt aka Staffordshire Terrier, the other...lol...has markings like a rotty, a body like hound and the ears of a Beagle..to cute!
