poor fellow ain't out of the woods yet. Say a prayer for him that he doesn't wind up with infection or brain damage.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 1371He must've been a (insert your opposing political party here) to not have had brain damage from that.
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

You hear about people being impaled by all kinds of nails and other sharp objects through the brain all the time. As long as it doesn't hit a critical area your OK. In the case of many out there there's loads of empty space.

Yikes!
I hope the poor guy pulls through!
I did read an interesting story of Phineas Gage, who was injured in a similar way with a railroad spike in the mid 1800's. He survived, but the injury changed his personality.

I hope this guy recovers fully and suffers no ongoing effects of the injury.

Thanked: 39I know someone who was shot through the head and survived, and as far as I know with no long term damages. He was a Kurdish guerilla man (Peshmerga).

Wouldn't that be the equivalent of a frontal lobotomy?
