Weddings....
I shal be getting married this summer, We`ve been planning the wedding now for roughly 2 months, and its got to be one of the easyest things we`ve ever done. so far we have organised:
Invites have gone out.
Venue booked, and menu chosen.
Cake,
wedding car,
rings,
wedding favors,
confetti.
table decorations,
brides dress
bridesmaids dresses
photographer.
gifts for the grooms party (and the groom YEAY)
florist is sorted just need to leave deposit this weekend,
chair covers.
All we need to do now is sort a dj out and hire my suits, and buy the gifts for the bridesmaids
Can anyone think of anything we`re missing?
and any tips on wrighting a speach?

Congratulations. Is it worth a trip to Calais for the cheap drink, I'd think so. Anyway… booze, what about the booze

Couldn't tell if you are missing something.
My wife and I bought rings, flew to the US (business related for me) drove to lake tahoe and got married there by rev. Warren Kessler. Noone attended the wedding, since we hadn't told anyone.
Sometime after we got home we took our parents out to a restaurant where they met each other for the first time. Other than that, we didn't throw a party or anything else. We were looking for a house around that time, and decided we'd spend money on that so that our mortgage would be lighter.
The most important thing is that you marry the person you love. Everything else on that day is secondary.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.
To spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the Last Day

Sounds lovely, SWMBO wanted to run off some where and do it on the quiet, but i wanted to shout it from the roof tops.
We were originally planning on getting married in 3 or 4years time when i finish uni, But we`ve been through a rough couple of years, at the end of 2008 we both lost our jobs, our house had some major problems that ment us moving in with my parents for 6 months, I decided to go back into education and get a degree, and discovered i`m dyslexic, but have an iq of 134 so the 16 years i spent at school were wasted. then just before xmas last year my new born god daughter passed away, the stress of which brought on some rather worrying effects in SWMBO and we now belive she may well have multiple sclerosis.
So after the stresses we`ve both been through over the past 2 years we`ve decided to put something good in our lives and get married, theres no question we love each other, in the 4+ years we`ve been living together we`ve had half a dozen arguments. And with the past two years of having to endure more stress than most people do in there entire lives, we`ve stayed together and been there for each other, the very sight of her makes bad days great days, and good days even better.

If it seems easy there must be something that you're missing.
For me it was the in-laws. I had no fear what so ever saying I do. But if I had met her whole family before we got married I would have been scared sh!tless. But I'm sure your in-laws are no where near as crazy as mine.

erm.....
no there mental.
Mother in law to be can`t keep her nose out of any ones buisness. Has hurt most of her family by doing so.
one sister in law is cool, in an ecomentalist, vegan, travleing hippy giving up meat and smoking pot will cure every thing kind of way.
t`other sister has issues,
and her dad was THE tax man,
but they are all cool, just going to be fun having them all in the same room as my family, I have no idea what`s going to go on.

Thanked: 20I take it you are one of those "orgaized" people I've heard about. My wedding is two months away, and it feels like we haven't gotten anything done! ok, so her dress is done, the photgrapher, pastor, and church are booked, so at least we've got enough covered that a ceremony will happen. oh boy, the next little while will be interesting....
