The reason I ask is if it is close (like a year or less is close for many women) then the following applies.

Women's reaction to marriage is a bit different from men. Most men feel that their responsibility on wedding day is to just show up. For women it is a whole undertaking with lots of possible nightmare scenarios, any of which would constitute a ruined wedding. The day just has to be perfect.

That can kind of importance can stress anyone out. So if your wedding date is relatively close then she could just be stressed out over everything being just right.

You'll get the same wildly different views when she gets pregnant.

Women stress out if the baby room is not done and ready by the 16th week ultrasound. While we feel perfectly fine putting on the last coat of paint when the water breaks.

We are calm they are stressed.

A reversal usually occurs at the signing of the first house purchase. Women beam with glee and hapiness and men feel like an elephant just sat on their chest. They see a home, while we see mortgage payments.

Over the long haul the differences just about balance out. Just takes a while to realize it.
The date is June 2nd. I tried to be involved at first but she felt like I was taking over...I set up the appointments and picked locations, etc (I had 3 weeks off from work, so I had free time) . So now I just do what Im told and give my opinion when its asked for, and when I wont get in trouble lol

You are starting to understand how it works.

BTW, you were not taking over but a perfect day takes total control to prepare and you just lacked the zeal.

Don't worry it is all normal. Like straight razor shaving it gets better as you gain experience and if you are persistent one day you will wake up and realize that it is so good that life that came before is but a distant, fading memory.

Jeez, JL, 12 posts per day! You've been on this forum for 15 minutes and you're already a Honemeister!!

    It's all good.

    Best of luck to you.

I can't answer your question about girlfriends being wary of this site because I just started dating a very charming woman two weeks ago. She knows about the shaving thing but hasn't seen my addiction to this site. As a matter of fact, I was a little late for our date yesterday because I had a couple of nicks (read cuts) from shaving that just wouldn't stop bleeding. It was like I was a hemopleliac yesterday. The styptic didn't work all that well which I understand - it's for nicks, not gushers. I didn't stop bleeding until I was on the subway! She felt the smoothness of my face and liked it but she had to watch for the scabs!!

Ain't it the truth, which is why my GF and I are already as married as we're going to be.
Neither of us has time for the mania and bedlam which is wedding day.

Oh yeah they are interesting creatures when they are pregnant. It would be better to impregnate them and go away until after either the child is born or gradutes from college. Which ever works for you.

Yes..Im a honemeister...and I havent received my straight yet...so its pretty silly...ohwell...the title will be there waiting for when I actually learn how to hone lol

I have used liquid bandaid before on gushers...and sometimes if the styptic doesnt work and I have a few minutes I put some vaseline over the cut...it works like a cork. I shave wit ha DE and havent had a cut for a while..but Im sure I'll need those remedies when I start with the straight!

Better yet, just get "Love & Fertility" by Mercedes Arzu Wilson, and avoid the potent days but don't let them know you have "the knowledge" . Remember, there's only 1 day per cycle a woman can get pregnant, and only 3 days prior to that day that you can successfuly leave the fertilizer, but because that day varies there's 9 to 13 days in the cycle you avoid all together (depending on the cycle time).

Books are a blessing, fellas. Books are a blessing .

    JL,

Just have here come to this forum and read away. That should erase any concern she might have.
