    Talking Read 'Em An' Weep

So some of you know I'm in the theatre, and some of you know I'm a little anti-establishment, but what you probably DON'T know is that I haven't done my taxes in seven years. Yes I know income tax evasion is a crime, but they're not coming after me because I make so little that I'm expecting taxes back, so the only person I've been hurting is myself. This is the year to change all that.

I went to see an accountant the other day and he provided me with information about what receipts to gather together and what could be written off (can you see where this is going?). Turns out cosmetics, including shaving supplies, can be written off by actors. I'll have to see if there's a limit on that. If there isn't, perhaps I WILL start a huge collection.

The theatre hey. So now I know where the Xman comes from, you must be the projectionist in one of those X rated movie houses. I don't think the shaving thing will fly. A three day growth would suit you better!

'fraid it's actually a generational stigma and not a pornographic one, but thank you for adding to the thread.

Makes me jealous...but on the upside I'm in law enforcement...which means my ammunition, equipment, even handguns and knives are all writeoffs!!! I'm thinking of getting some goodies this year myself thanks to uncle sam

I am starting a razor restoration and custom razor scales and accessories company so I guess at least my razors (they are all for restoration ) and shop equipment (its all for the custom scales and boxes) will be expensed .

Now all I need is a lathe (shop equipment) for turning brush handles and all my brushes will be written off as marketing expense (competitive analysis).

I'll have to pay for the creams and aftershave out of my own pocket.
