This is nothing new. Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, so many greats have either taken their own lives unexpectedly or passed on under unexplained circumstances.

The context of your question suggests you are asking about the afterlife. I believe I am a body in this universe of form. I believe in reincarnation. Birth is not a beginning and death is not an end, but two doorways through which we pass over and over again on our journeys of spiritual growth.

Carol Bowman has a Web site where interested parties can explore reincarnation here. She has written two books: Children's Past Lives and Return from Heaven in which she presents convincing evidence that reincarnation is real. She worked with Ian Stevenson, a professor of psychiatry at the University of Virginia. Over the course of 40 years, Stevenson traveled the world to investigate some 3,000 children who remembered their past lives and presented his findings as cold, hard, scientific fact.

It's easy to brush this all off as "New Age" drivel, especially so because most religions teach that reincarnation is false. But when reading of Stevenson's work without inserting our own preconceived beliefs, the factual evidence of reincarnation becomes clear.
    Namaste,

It is very sad when we lose those special people we admire so much. Listening to the music of Joplin and Hendrix helped console my sense of personal loss but now that I'm deaf, I no longer have that (I have not been able to hear beautiful music since 1984). I do feel fortunate that I was around to enjoy their music while they were with us. These artists, those you mention and others we have lost gave us so much.
    Namaste,
    Morty -_-
