    Default Happy Bloomsday!

Today is June 16th, the same day which James Joyce's Ulysses takes places in 1904. Not only is it a masterpiece of language, literature, style, and sound, but it also opens with a straight razor shave.

STATELY, PLUMP BUCK MULLIGAN CAME FROM THE STAIRHEAD, bearing a bowl of lather on which a mirror and a razor lay crossed. A yellow dressinggown, ungirdled, was sustained gently behind him by the mild morning air. He held the bowl aloft and intoned:

    --INTROIBO AD ALTARE DEI.
I encourage you all to at least glance at the book today if you have it, perhaps have a Guinness as well.

    Cheers~
    Justin
