I would scratch my head for a while and then realise that you said work in a lab, not own the lab. Someone else pays the bills. I would just pay the extra to get what I need. Or I should say, the boss will just pay the extra to get what I need.

As I'm lazy, I'd just dilute the 30% solution to 15% rather than mix the 10% and 30%. Not the answer to the OP, but same results.

I took one look at the problem and decided my work in the lab was far too dangerous, what with having to mix acids after actually having to think about numbers, ordered the acid and tendered my resignation.
