Thats pretty much how I see it. Here in America you have a right to whatever philosophy you wish and are free to speak out on it, we also have the right to repudiate, ridicule or not listen. Just one of the blessings, pitfalls and responsibilities of a free state. It has come to my attention that most people pointing the finger and screaming "Intolerance" are the intolerant, like playing the race card, they point the finger at you trying to shame and ridicule in order to shut you up while they go on their unfettered and intolerant way.

BTW: If Hitlers minimalist mustache could be a symbol of intolerance, Paco could be considered very liberal.

I agree. Unfortunately that's why we have religious zealots from Kansas showing up at soldiers' funerals claiming they were killed because God is punishing us for homosexuality.
It's easier to tolerate intolerance when it's directed at others who are more distant or different from ourselves. Any way you slice it, it's a difficult line to toe.

Absolutely!

I wholeheartedly agree with you Ron, the Fred Phelps bunch is as bad as it gets, how cowardly can you get when you target the dead, they remind me of the Facists who marched through Skokie, but at least they targeted the living.

BTW I am 2 weeks into re growing my mustache and it will not be minimalistic!(is that a word?)

However, these folks are definitely at the extreme end of the body piercing and tattoo stuff. I think these people would be hard to employ - too much of a distraction. That said, it's their bodies; they can do what they want with them.

OK I have to step in, I AM NEITHER INTOLERANT OR LIBERAL.
Not accusing anyone of calling me that if i misunderstood the past post just claifying . I put up the pics as something to look at that i found interesting. Maybe I should not have put the title the way I recieved it as an email.

Just to clarify on my end: I did not consider your original post to be intolerant. I found it to be both interesting and amusing, and I especially liked the title. The reality is that we all have to deal with the consequences of the choices we make in our lives and regardless of what we think of what those people did to themselves, their career options have been reduced.

As you said we make the choice and we have to live with that choice and all its ramifications.

I sat next to a guy that looked like one of these people when I was taking the LSAT. He had F... Y.. on his knuckles. Tats all over his face some of them insulting and the piercing to go along with it.

I remember thinking that this guy was just wasting his money to take this test

This is right on point and this is a classic example of an "argument from intimidation."

The way I see it is if somebody wants to do something, they have every right to do it as long as they don't harm someone else's person or property. I have no problem with these people who are pictured in the original post. I learned very long ago not to judge people on looks, but rather by their character and their values.
