    Default Where to go?

I've got a choice to go work in; Austin Texas, Iowa or Missouri. Which would you choose? Any reason why?

Missouri, because its not Iowa and we all know what comes out of Texas!

What are you going to be doing anyway, new job or a relocation?

Actually Austin is a great place. it's a dynamic city and your not that far from the population centers. That would be my choice. I would never go to Iowa, I've been there.

If you like the heat, both Missouri and Texas have more than their shares. I can't say much about Iowas, I've only been lost there once.

Austin is a great place! It is the live music center of the country. The arts are alive and well there. A bit more liberal than most Texas cities politically. Lot's of co-eds (a la UofT), and San Marcos is quite close (another neat place).

I would live there if it wasn't such a hard commute to ORD for me....

......ohh... then there is "hippy hollow"..... but that's another story...... (sigh), it's a shame that youth is wasted on the young......

I've been in Austin. It's a great place. Unfortunately it's also in Texas.
Ignoring all socio political arguments for or against it; July and August are really no fun in Texas. Too hot and a 100% humidity make it unenjoyable imo.

    I would go to Iowa.

I enjoy midwest winters and Iowa has better hunting. People from Texas will disagree but they will be lying.

On the other hand, Texas does have better bass fishing.

Just working for a few weeks. I travel all around. Will probably go to all 3 before it's over with.

That's where I end up going. Leave Friday. Not looking forward to the heat at all.

San Diego area is the obvious choice.
