Shipping is indeed always an adventure / puzzle.
And you can't insure packages to all countries (Belgium to US for example) because those are all bilateral agreements between the postal services. So I do one of 2 things.

If the razor is mine and I sell it, I give the buyer the option to choose whether he wants insurance or not, and if he doesn't I make it clear that the entire risk is his. If he does want insurance, I just add a percentage to the price and send it registered if I can't insure it, or I add the insurance cost if I can insure it.

But yeah, actually getting your money back will be a chore and it can take ages. They once lost a money order of mine in the US, and it took me a year to recover the money.
