Sorry to hear that.
Maybe you could go on a trip there when you next have leave? Or arrange a longer stop over on the way back from Iraq? I do that sometimes with business trips, stay a few days longer over a weekend or something.
Hope you can make it there soon!

Get plenty of intel from them once they return, that way when you go on your own without them you can have twice th fun with out the mistakes they made, bad lodging, food, etc.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

What is it about Ireland that you have wanted to go for as long as you can remember?

Just an idea from my head, If you ever get married you could hold the wedding in a far off, inconvenient, unpleasant, and expensive destination. Like Iraq, for instance. Then after the service, thank all who made the journey and with your new wife depart for Lovely Ireland.

Well then, Sinnfein, tell us the date they depart and I'll be having a Guinness in your honor. And I encourage the rest of our fine community to be doing the same.
